Deirdre Diener

Deirdre recently started working as a Biopharmaceuticals Strategy Consultant after almost 20 years of working in various marketing leadership positions at Jansen, GSK, Novo Nordisk, AstraZeneca, Bristol Myers Squibb and Accenture. She has her B.A. in Political Science/Philosophy and Women’s Studies from Albright College, Reading PA and her M.B.A. from St. Joseph’s University. She lives in Wynnewood, PA with her beautiful daughter Kelce and her rescue dog, Lily.

Why this work for you?

Lisa was my sister and best friend. From the time she was a teenager until the last days of her life, I saw her passion and drive to help women and families who were in abusive relationships. When we lost Lisa, I could think of no other way to turn the “tough stuff into good stuff” by forming a foundation that would continue the work she was doing for women and children.

If there was a dance move named after you what would it be?

Some may not be aware but there is a dance move that I have perfected along side of 3 of my best buddies currently living in Virginia. Two of us were children of the 90s…for one of us, it was a decade of MC Hammer-pants wearing / spiral-permed hair glued in place each day with AquaNet Super Hold Hairspray. We were inspired to create an alternate version of a 90s Hip Hop dance move called “The Worm”. This new dance style is extremely popular in living rooms across the country. The move requires a very slow pace in moving across the floor in a very stiff position – somewhat like a Tootsie Roll.

Jason Diener

Jason is a Principal with Integro Insurance Brokers based in New York. Jason graduated in 1999 with honors from Temple University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management Insurance. Jason’s career in Risk Management Insurance started with Marsh & McLennan where he was able to progress to Senior Vice President. Jason left Marsh in 2012 to pursue executive opportunities with Integro Insurance Brokers in order to build out their Philadelphia Risk Management Insurance practice. Jason lives with his family in Chalfont, Pennsylvania.

Why this work for you?

Lisa was my sister and I feel as though this is the best way to pay tribute to who she was by continuing her lifelong passion of helping people. I hope that with the support of our Foundation, survivors and their families are able to change the course of their lives for the better.

If there was a dance move named after you, what would it be?

Muscles Mayhem because I put the muscle in every move I make in life.

Karen Diener

Karen has spent most of her life caring for children whether it be as a Headstart teacher, in her home day care or through volunteer work in her school district and in her community. The thing that fills her heart with the most pride and joy each and every day is her own children and grandchildren . Karen lives in Horsham, PA with her two rescue dogs, Snoop and Brody.

Why this work for you?

I’m proud to say that Lisa was my daughter. Since her untimely death our goal has been, and always will be, to keep her memory and vision alive through the foundation that bears her name. Through the generosity of others we have been able to embrace Lisa’s passion for making a difference in a cause that was close to her heart by supporting those organizations that are committed to ending domestic abuse in families and the community. We will be eternally grateful for all the support we have received.

If there was a dance move named after you what would it be?

My dance move would be called “The Short Step” since I’ve lived, worked and even attended college within a five mile radius of my home! I suppose you could charitably say that my roots run deep!

Seth Diener

Seth is a Financial Advisor and founder of Diener Money Management in Horsham, Pennsylvania. Diener Money Management was established in 2001 with no clients, a few thousand dollars and operated out of Seth’s childhood bedroom in his parents’ house. His mother was known to knock incessantly on the door while asking if Seth wanted a sandwich for lunch, when Seth was on the phone trying to convince folks to hire him to manage their life savings! Today, Diener Money Management is headquartered in the middle of Horsham, Pa, with satellite locations in Bucks County, Pa, South Jersey, & Florida. Diener Money Management today manages in excess of 70 Million Dollars for more than 500 clients. The company specializes in individual portfolio management, retirement planning, estate planning & more. They differentiate themselves from the competition by being a boutique firm, catering to a select number of individuals and providing each of them with award winning advice and unparalleled attention.

Why this work for you?

This work for me because it has taken what was and still is a tragic, sad situation and replaced it with smiles, happiness and joy for so many. In my lifetime this will always be the best example of turning a negative into a positive. The team of people that have gathered together on this board to passionately continue Lisa’s work in her honor and the many lives that we have been able to affect as a result of our fundraising efforts, touches my heart in a way that nothing else does.

If there was a dance move named after you, what would it be?

It would be called the, “Is this serious, is he ok?” It would consist of original choreography by me and performed by me. It would be described as a cross between a hippie at woodstock (really feeling it, lost in the beat & lyrics ) and a fish out of water that just landed into your boat.

Rhonda Hill Piselli

Rhonda is a Systemic Partnership Coach with the Buck Institute for Education, a nonprofit dedicated to building the capacity of district leaders, principals and teachers so that ALL students have access to high quality Project Based Learning. She has spent all of her professional career working in education, mainly in spaces that are serving students who are traditionally underserved. Rhonda believes that education is the great equalizer and that developing students to be critical thinkers, collaborators, innovators and communicators through solving authentic, challenging problems is the best way to help all students realize their passion, potential and talents.

Why this work for you?

I learned of Lisa’s story about six years ago through a mutual friend and began attending LDDVF events. I was asked to join the board in 2015 and was honored and over the moon to accept a position on a board with people who are so passionate about this work and keeping the memory of Lisa alive by creating the voice to stop the violence. This work is deeply personal to me as well because I grew up in a home where violence was an ongoing issue. I didn’t know how to use my voice or what to do about it as a child, so as an adult, I’m committed to shedding light on this issue and working to empower people, especially women and children, who are victims.

If there was a dance move named after you, what would it be?

The dance would definitely be named “The Jam” because I LOVE to dance (although I don’t claim to be good) and every time a song would come on in the club or at a party, I would holler, “This is my JAM!” and dance…no matter what song!

What’s something you live by or a favorite quote?

Rose Pimpinella

Rose is an established pharmaceutical executive with over 30 years of US experience in finance and auditing and global experience in portfolio planning, pricing & market access, strategic planning pre- and post launch brands in cardiovascular and pain management segments. Most recently working in Global Commercial Operations at AstraZeneca as the Global Launch Lead for the respiratory therapeutic area. Rose is truly passionate about the work she does in the life sciences and always keeps patients at the forefront of her objectives to ensure that they are receiving the best medicines.

Why this work for you?

I am extremely proud to say that I have been involved with LDDVF since it’s inception. At first, helping with the socialization and advertising of the annual fundraiser events to my personal and professional network. In 2011, during the LDDVF Holiday Urgent Needs drive, I assisted Deirdre in the delivery of the numerous packages/donations we received to a local shelter and it was then that I recognized I wanted to do so much more. In early 2012, I was elected to the board and have been enthusiastic and even more passionate about empowering women to getting their lives back on track, than ever before.

If there was a dance move named after you, what would it be?

It would be the “Electric Slide” because I was born with a tremendous amount of energy that could provide power for a big city coupled with my love of dancing that when a great dance song comes on, I slide right into dance mode, no matter where I am!

Liz Serratore Wentzel

Upon graduating from Pennsylvania State University, Liz worked in the field of Drug and Alcohol and Mental Health as an Intensive Case Manager for Bucks County. After a few years in that field she returned to college at Cedar Crest College and graduated the BSN program with honors. Liz has been a registered nurse for the past 9 years and is enjoying her passion to care for others in a Medical Intensive Care Unit. Liz lives in Quakertown with her husband, daughter and dog Barkley.

Why this work for you?

Lisa and I had a very special friendship/sisterhood. We became friends at Simmons Elementary in Kindergarten and continued that friendship through Keith Valley Middle School, Hatboro-Horsham High School and The Pennsylvania State University (PSU). It was at PSU that Lisa and I trained to become volunteers at a local domestic violence shelter. This was when her journey in assisting individuals affected by domestic violence began. Lisa flourished in this field. After her passing, I have made it my mission of mine to continue the work that Lisa would be doing if she was still with us.

If there was a dance move named after you, what would it be?

It would be named “The OMG”!
